
The Florida Tech Panthers got their second win of the lacrosse season on Wednesday, taking down Mars Hill 17-7, in a neutral site game in Savannah, Georgia.
The Panthers (2-4) got a game-high six goals from Tajee Mobley, helping them break a two-game slide. The six goals were a career-high for Mobley. Carson Clough scored four and Logan Sweeney ended the day with a hat-trick.
Florida Tech exploded for eight goals in the first quarter, starting with Addison Abramson scoring just 10 seconds into the game. It was his only goal of the day but got the Panthers off to a good start. Reid Chaconas, Tyler Covey, and Mason Ostrosky added single tallies for FIT.
Mars Hill outscored the Panthers 2-1 in the second quarter but Florida Tech was comfortably ahead, 9-4 at the half. The offense picked up again in the third quarter, striking for five goals, while the defense held the Lions to one. The Panthers finished with three goals in the fourth quarter.
Connor Fernandes and Parker Beaudry scored two goals each for the Lions, while Jake Trafton added three assists.

Florida Tech returns home Wednesday to host Tampa in the first Sunshine State Conference tilt of the season. It is the Panthers first home game since February 24.
