BSN Future Star Gabby Dellavalle – Cocoa Beach Baseball

Gabby Dellavalle is a right-handed pitcher and infielder for the Cocoa Beach minutemen. He will be heading into his senior season next spring.

Gabby has improved steadily in his three seasons with the minutemen. He made 11 appearances and three starts as a freshman, going 1-1 with a 3.79 earned run average. He struck out 11 batters that season. At the plate, he had four hits and two RBIs.

In his sophomore season in 2019, Gabby pitched 29.1 innings, striking out 36 and holding his opposing hitters to a .204 average. He had six strikeouts each in games against Palm Bay and Holy Trinity that season, both coming in four innings of work. In the batters’ box, he had five hits and two RBIs.

Although his junior season was limited to five games due to the pandemic, Gabby hit .364 with four hits and four RBIs, while drawing five walks in 17 total plate appearances.

On the mound, he allowed one earned run in nine innings of work, facing 38 batters and striking out 18. He had a 0.78 earned run average in his four appearances.

The Minutemen were 3-5 when the season ended, but Dellavalle was certainly poised to help them turn it around. He will be one to watch next spring.
