BSN FUTURE STAR Jamar Franklin – Rockledge Basketball

Rockledge basketball standout Jamar Franklin had a memorable sophomore season on the court. He helped the Raiders to a 17-11 record and was named to the 2020 All-Space Coast second team and to the All-Cape Coast Conference team.

At 6’2 175 pounds, Franklin showed he was a force to be reckoned with last season.

In the 27 games Franklin played, he averaged 20.9 minutes and 17.7 points-per-game. He had 1.5 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. He was named the Rockledge player of the game 11 times during the 19-20 season.

Franklin shot 45 percent from the field (142-for-316), including 40 percent from three-point range (59-for-148).

When the season ended, Franklin amassed 478 points, scoring double digits in 25 of 27 games. His season-high came in a game against Palm Bay in January when he scored 27 points in 30 minutes. He finished the night shooting 8-for-19 from the field. He scored 26 points in 28 minutes against Satellite in February and had 25-point games against Eau Gallie and Heritage in January and February, respectively.

Jamar is certainly a star on the rise and Brevard Sports Network is looking forward to what promises to be a bright future.
