BSN FUTURE STAR Savannah Reiser – Viera Volleyball

Savannah Reiser is an outside hitter for the Viera Hawks volleyball team. As a junior, Savannah was a key contributor to the Hawks’ 21-8 record in 2019. The season ended with a hard-fought 3-2 loss in the state tournament to Strawberry Crest.

Savannah has earned two varsity letters and has played all six rotations for the Hawks. She also plays at the club level with the Cape Coast Volleyball team, where she is a captain and was named the MVP in both seasons she has played.

In the classroom, Savannah boasts a 4.0 and posted a score of 1250 on her SAT. She hopes to earn her bachelor’s degree and pursue nursing when her high school career ends.

Reiser has made a steady improvement between her sophomore and junior year. She played 70 sets in 2018-19, recording 131 kills and 161 digs to go along with 10 blocks and 32 aces. Last season she played 91 sets and her kills rose dramatically to 206, while her digs went up to 237. She doubled her block total to 20 and posted an impressive 30 aces. She improved her kills per set from 1.9 to 2.3, and her kill percentage from 30.8 to 35.6 from last year to this year.

In a game against Bishop Moore on September 17, Reiser had four spikes and 14 kills and had a kill percentage of 36.8. That effort earned her the Player of the Match for the Hawks.

Reiser’s final season should be fun to watch and we at Brevard Sports Network wish her and the Hawks the best of luck.
