Nazar Tsaruk Hat Trick Dooms Panthers

The Rollins College Tars got a statement win on Wednesday beating Florida Tech 3-0 in a Sunshine State Conference men’s soccer match at Stottler Field.

All three goals came off the foot of Rollins’ Nazar Tsaruk, who beat Panthers goalie Luis Tovar Romero twice in the first half and once in half number two. On the other side, Tars netminder Maximillian Obermeier had to work hard for his clean sheet, as the Panthers fired nine of their 14 shots on net.

Guillermo Segovia Marcos led the Panthers with four shots, three of those had to be saved by Obermeier.

Rollins (7-3-2, 4-2-1 SSC) took 19 shots with seven on goal, Tovar Romero was credited with four saves. Fabio Amaral took three shots, two of those were on goal.

Tsaruk scored the first and only goal the Tars would need when he took a crossing pass from Jorge Lameiras, and put it in to give the visitors a 1-0 lead 9:24 in. He would then get an unassisted tally at the 26:56 mark, giving his team some insurance.

The hat trick was complete in the 81st minute off a helper from Georgios Koliniatis.
