321Sportscast Brevard County Friday Night Football – Week 4

It was back to business as usual in Brevard County Friday night as high school football kicked it into high gear around the county.

Cocoa 40 Sebastian River 0

In a game that was broadcast on 321 Sportscast, Caziah Holmes scored three touchdowns against the Sebastian River Sharks, as Cocoa (2-1) rolled to a 40-0 road victory. Donte Cook scored the first TD of the game for the Tigers, taking a punt back 32 yards.

DJ Arroyo had two touchdown passes, one to Holmes for nine yards, and one to Jmariyae Robinson for 24 yards.

Merritt Island 24 Palm Bay 15

The Mustangs (3-0) used a 10-point second quarter to take down the host Palm Bay Pirates (1-1) 24-15 in another broadcast on 321 Sportscast. This game was tied at seven after the first quarter, highlighted by a Markelle McKay 76-yard fumble return for the Pirates.

Buck Williams scored a second-quarter touchdown to put Merritt Island up 17-7 and he would add a 10-yard run in the fourth, putting the game away.

Melbourne 33 Harmony 27

The Bulldogs (3-1) weathered a late 17-point run by Harmony and hung on for a 33-27 victory. Jared Spragins was on the receiving end of three Justin Popovich touchdown passes in the first half and hung on for the six-point win.

Astronaut 34 Longwood Lyman 29

Astronaut (1-2) got their first win of the season, helped by two touchdown runs by Abreon Torres. Longwood Lyman fell to 0-3.

Heritage 40 Kissimmee Gateway 17

In a battle of the Panthers, Heritage (2-1) took care of Gateway, 40-17. Reggie Reynolds had a pick-six just before halftime to put Heritage up 19-10 and they scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, to seal the victory. Kissimmee Gateway is now 0-3.

Space Coast 14 Holy Trinity 7

Space Coast got a one-yard run from Javier Neuron in overtime, handing Holy Trinity their first loss of the season.

Sarasota 75 Titusville 0

In the most lopsided game of the night, the Sarasota Sailors (4-0) routed the Terriers (1-1). Running back Brian Battie had three first-quarter touchdown runs, and Sarasota used that to catapult them to a 58-0 halftime lead.

Rockledge 42 Eau Gallie 6

Rockledge (3-0) got two touchdown runs from Ladarius Tennison in the first and third quarter, and Michael Alves had touchdown runs in the first and fourth quarter, as the Raiders beat the Commodores (2-1) 42-6.

Father Lopez 43 Cocoa Beach 7

Father Lopez got their second win of the week, beating Cocoa Beach 43-7. This win comes on the heels of the Green Wave’s Tuesday night victory over Titusville.

Halifax Academy 26 Merritt Island Christian 6

The Halifax Academy Knights rolled to a 26-6 win over Merritt Island Christian. The Cougars are now 0-3 on the season.
